How do I grade a forum topic using a rubric?

See How do I add a rubric to a Forum or Topic? for information about first attaching a rubric.

Go to Discussions.

Select the Forums tool from the tool menu of your site.

Select a topic.

Select a post.

Select the Grade button in the student post.

Enter grading and feedback.

Move down the page to locate the rubric area.

  1. Click one item per rubric criterion.
  2. Optionally enter comments about your selection within each criterion. Click Done to save the comments.
  3. Click Submit Grade.

The points will be added up automatically based on your rating selections. The total points earned will appear just below the rubric.
