How do I add a question to a question pool?
You can add a question to a pool directly, or save a copy of a question to a pool while you are authoring or editing questions in an assessment, as described below:
- Add a question directly to a pool.
- Copy all questions in an assessment's part to a pool.
- Copy an individual question to a pool while authoring an assessment.

Go to Tests & Quizzes.

Select the Tests & Quizzes tool from the Tool Menu of your site.
Add a question directly to a pool.
Select the Question Pools tab.

Select the pool.

Select the name of the pool or subpool where the questions will be added.
Note: To reveal existing subpools within a question pool or a higher-level subpool, select the arrow icon (Toggle Tree) next to the pool's or higher-level subpool's name.
Select Add Question.

The question pool details will be displayed. In the Questions section, select Add Question.
Select the question type.

- From the Select question type menu, choose the type of question to create.
- Select Save.

Or add question(s) to a pool while creating or editing an assessment.
Copy all questions in an assessment's part to a pool.
When you are creating or editing an assessment, you can copy all the questions from a part of the assessment to a pool.
Select Copy to Pool.

To the right of the assessment part, select the Copy to Pool link.
Select the pool(s) for the copied questions.

- Check the box(es) for any pool(s) or subpool(s) where copies of the questions should be placed.
- Select Copy.
Note: To reveal existing subpools within a question pool or a higher-level subpool, select the arrow icon (Toggle Tree) next to the pool's or higher-level subpool's name.
Copy an individual question to a pool while authoring an assessment.

While creating a new question or editing an existing question, you can save a copy of it to a pool you have created. To do so, Select a pool name from the Assign to Question Pool drop-down menu.
