How do I add a stealthed LTI tool to a site via External Tools admin?
Stealthed tools are tools which are available in your instance, but are hidden from non-admin users when they select which tools they want to use in a site. In Sakai 10, it is possible for admins to pre-configure LTI tools in the system, and stealth them individually via the External Tools admin interface. You would do this by selecting the "Stealthed" under Tool Visibility when adding a new LTI tool in the admin External Tools area. (This can be done instead of stealthing the External Tools feature completely in all courses.) In order to add an individually stealthed LTI tool to a site, the admin user needs to manually add it to the desired site via External Tools in the Administration Workspace.
In the Administration Workspace, go to External Tools.
Select the Sites tool from the Tool Menu of the Administration Workspace.
Select the LTI tool.
Select the desired LTI tool from the drop-down menu. (The LTI tool must have been added to the system previously in order to show up in this list.)
Note: If you want the tool to appear as an item in the Tool Menu of the site, check the box next to Add Site Link.
Enter the Site ID.
Enter the Site ID for the site to which you would like to add the stealthed LTI tool and then click Save.
Note: If you want the tool to appear as an item in the Tool Menu of the site, check the box next to Add Site Link.
Confirmation message.
You should receive a confirmation message upon successfully adding the stealthed LTI tool to the site.
