How do I change the display and playback speed of media?

Media Gallery includes options to zoom in on images and adjust the playback speed of video and audio files.

Select Media Gallery from the Tool Menu of the site.

Zoom in on images.

Select an image.

Select the image to view.  Images are identified in the gallery with a landscape photo icon in the upper-left corner of their thumbnail.

Open the image in full screen mode.

Select the Full Screen button near the lower right corner of the media viewer.  The button looks like two arrows pointing outward.

Click on the image.

Click on the image in the center of the screen.

Image displays zoomed in.

The image will expand to fit the height of the computer screen.

Exit full screen mode.

When you are done viewing the image, you can exit full screen mode either by pressing the Escape key on your keyboard or selecting the Exit Full Screen button near the lower right corner of the screen. The button looks like two arrows pointing inward.

Slow down or speed up video or audio playback.

Select a video or audio file.

Select the video or audio file to play.

Change the playback speed.

  1. Select the Playback Speed button near the lower right corner of the media viewer. By default, the speed will be shown as 1x.
  2. Select the desired new speed. Options include (from slowest to fastest):
    • 0.5x
    • 0.75x
    • 1x
    • 1.5x
    • 2x

Play the video or audio file.

When you select Play, the video and/or audio will move more slowly or quickly, depending on the speed you selected.
