What are the Security and Proctoring options for an assessment?
In Security and Proctoring, you will find options for test security locations and passwords, as well as lock down browser settings. For more information on additional assessment settings, see How do I view and modify the settings of an assessment?
The Security and Proctoring section will expand to show the following options:

Ensure students take exams from specific location

For high stakes testing, you may want to provide additional security for your assessment.
You may restrict the assessment so that only connections from certain IP addresses are allowed, such as a building on grounds. Enter one IP per line into the Allow only specified IP Addresses field. Asterisks may be used to stand for any single subnet.
Assessment Password

You may also specify a password for the assessment. This Assessment Password is typically provided by the instructor in the classroom or testing center by the proctor, so that students must be present to enter the assessment.
Note: The Secondary Password is for this specific assessment only, and NOT the instructor's or the student's login information.
Require Locked Browser

You may choose the default option None to allow students to access the assessment normally with their regular web browser.
However, if you would like students to use a locked browser which limits their ability to open and navigate to other sites or applications during the assessment, you may select Safe Exam Browser. Safe Exam Browser is an open source locked down browser that is integrated with Sakai.
